Hello, tomorrow I will be buying a Strymon Mobius and I would like to know if my T-Rex Chameleon power supply works well for this pedal. I looked in the power supply instruction manual and it says that each output delivers 300mA, but I`m not sure if this power is enough as the Mobius needs a „minimum“ of 300mA. If you`re using a third-party power supply, make sure it delivers a maximum of 9V, provides more than the minimum required current (mA), and has a 2.1mm central negative connector. @Rory – I am sorry to hear that you have problems with El Capistan. Is this power supply the same as the one supplied with the pedal (Damage Control 9V DC, 660mA output)? The pedal only needs 9V DC and 250mA of current, but the factory power supply provides more than it needs. With a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus, you need to make sure you`re using outputs 5 or 6, with the DIP switches set to NORMAL to connect to the standard black power cables. If you still have problems, please email me at [email protected]. For blueSky and Ola: Connect a mono-TS instrument cable to the LEFT INPUT and LEFT OUTPUT for a mono connection. blueSky offers three different types of reverb: recording, space, and spring, and each type can produce anything from stunning realism to augmented sounds that go far beyond what would be physically possible, while still remaining musical and beautiful. Hey Ryan, if this factory power supply is giving you problems on multiple outlets, it seems that the problem could be with this power supply itself.

FAQ update: www.strymon.net/support/faqs/can-i-power-a-timeline-with-a-voodoo-labs-pedal-power-2-power-supply/ @Chris – The length of the barrel connectors on the ends of the power cord like those from Voodoo Labs and our own power supplies is pretty standard. When connected to pedals with power sockets flush with the chassis like our TimeLine, a small part of the metal plug protrudes (about 2-3mm) and this is normal. Having trouble spinning the pedal? Please let me know if you have any other problems by emailing us at [email protected] with additional details and photos of what you are experiencing. @Alan – When using this power supply, the blueSky only consumes the amount of power it needs to operate. As long as it receives 9V DC, a central negative polarity and a current of at least 250mA, it works reliably. A lucky pedal is one that works with the right current and voltage. Get out and keep all your pedals happy! Hi, I bought two smaller units El Capistan and Ola last time, I plan to buy another Blue Sky soon. I see all the floors that need 250mA of current/9V according to specifications. I plan to use them in the bottom bracket, from sockets 5 and 6 (dips set for normal) of my Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus to provide 250mA/9V correct/required. In fact, I will still be missing a 250mA for the 3rd small Strymon pedal, so I thought about using the „Y“ power adapter cable to combine 1-4 sockets to get at least 200mA.
I saw you mention: „Our pedals can operate at 200 mA, but it is always wise to provide some leeway with the current… I have a European version of Voodoo Labs PP2, so it`s not that easy to just plug in another original Strymon adapter for the 3rd pedal (there`s another plug) I would also avoid multiplying the adapters, it`s the power of the pedal on board. @Sander – Yes, you should have no problem powering the TimeLine from outputs 7 or 8 of the Aetos power supply. 🙂 All this, plus a new ARM DSP chip, provides more processing power for every shade of sound, with less power consumption on your pedalboard. NOTE: This support page applies to a discontinued product. If you have a BlueSky V2 (6 ESC), click here for support information. @brandon – Although the ModTone Power Plant has isolated outputs, they do not provide enough power to meet the minimum requirements of our pedals (with the exception of the OB.1). The TimeLine requires a direct current of 9V and at least 300 mA, but the current outputs of the power plant with the highest current provide only 200 mA. Other power supplies such as the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power Digital, 4×4 and Mondo as well as the CIOKS DC-10, Big John and CIOKOLATE work. I have 3 small boxes (blue sky, El Capistan and decoration) and a pp2 plus.
Can I use outputs 5 and 6 for Blue Sky and El Cap, and then use the original Deco power supply connected to the „Courtesy Outlet“ of the pp2 plus? Press and hold the FAV pedal while operating the pedal. Press and hold the button until both LEDs stop flashing. @Ricardo – Yes, the factory power supplies we supply with our pedals are designed for global operation at 100-240V. If you do not want to use the supplied power supply, we recommend an isolated power supply. An isolated power supply works with a transformer (or transformers) to keep each outlet completely isolated galvanically. We offer two fully insulated high current DC power supplies, Ojai and Zuma. Click below for more information: Hey hugo! I want to ask you something, I have the Walrus Audio AETOS power supply that have an isolated output on 7 and 8 for 300mA, can I use the timeline with only the 300mA output of channel 7 or 8 of Aetos? Will it damage the pedal? Thank you 🙂 So when I bought the big sky, I thought I could put it on my board (silent/any other isolated pedal so far) and just use the AC adapter that came with the pedal to power it separately (just waiting for another Timelord to come out) No joy. Huge amounts of buzz. Even with the big sky directly in the amplifier with the power supply Without other pedals, it still buzzes. This is the same problem I had with the timeline a few years ago.
It seems that the included power supplies don`t power them properly (which doesn`t make sense based on the information you gave me above and the power request) or I`ve had two faulty ones in a row, which seems unlikely. I know it`s not my amplifier. And not a bad source of power (and I`m pretty sure another Time Lord will solve all the noise problems I have with the big sky), but I felt I should let you know and wonder if anyone else had this problem you know. Our second-generation blueSky delivers true studio-quality reverberation in a compact pedal, adding significant new features including technological advancements, hardware enhancements, and design enhancements to give you additional flexibility, performance, and ease of use on stage and in the studio. @Kristopher – Thank you so much for supporting Strymon! 🙂 There`s nothing wrong with using 9.3V with your power supply, as voltage fluctuations are quite common with most power supplies. Our pedals operate at constant power where they consume more or less current depending on the voltage, but you want to make sure your power output in the 9V range. Press and hold both blueSky pedals until both lights flash GREEN.
